Life changes and challenges come in different forms at different times in our lives. Therapy can help you manage the challenges and make the changes you want.
People often choose to come to therapy because they are experiencing difficulties or distress in their lives. But you don't have to be in crisis to have therapy.
At the heart of therapy is a collaborative relationship. A relationship built on trust, honesty and compassion.
Therapy includes counselling, psychotherapy and coaching. My approach is integrative and relational. I draw on my training and experience in the creative arts, humanistic therapy, cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), Pesso Boyden System Psychomotor (mind-body) therapy, and coaching to support our work together. We will agree and work in a way that support your goals or direction.
We will work in the present, explore past life events and relationships to help you understand your feelings, thoughts and behaviours, and consider what the future means for you.
As a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) I am committed to providing a safe, confidential, non-judgemental space.
Contact me by email or text (07568308610) to arrange an initial session in person or online (Zoom). The initial session is about getting to know each other, exploring what brings you to therapy, your hopes for therapy and how we might work together. It is important that there is a 'fit' between therapist and client.
I am a qualified counsellor, psychotherapist and coach. I have a background in the creative arts and education. I work with adults and young people (16yrs+), practicing in person in North London and online nationally and internationally.
I work with clients who are struggling with anxiety, depression, addiction, identity, and self-worth. Clients who are experiencing life transitions and are looking for balance and purpose. This includes young people finding their way through early adulthood, parents managing the competing demands of family, work and their own life, and those transitioning to retirement.
I value and respect diversity and strive to be inclusive.

These one-day Pesso Boyden therapy workshops provide an opportunity for participants to engage in a powerful group process that fosters self-discovery, personal growth and emotional healing.
Pesso Boyden therapy, also known as Pesso Boyden System Psychomotor (PBSP), is a therapeutic approach aimed at helping individuals realise their potential for a more fulfilling life. It focuses on addressing present difficulties that have roots in the past, particularly those arising from unmet developmental needs, trauma, or challenges with caregivers. PBSP works gently and creatively to identify and transform these barriers to self-fulfilment.
In group therapy, individuals participate in a "structure" process, where a therapist helps them externalise their feelings and experiences using objects, figures, and other group members. Through this, new experiences and perspectives are created, offering a foundation for a more satisfying, meaningful, and connected life.
Bessel van der Kolk, who trained with Al Pesso and Diane Boyden highlights the power of this method in his book The Body Keeps the Score, noting that they use imagination to reshape the inner narratives that influence our behaviour and emotional well-being.

Contact me by email or text to arrange an initial 50 min session in person or online via Zoom. The initial session is about getting to know each other, exploring what brings you to therapy, your hopes for therapy and how we might work together. It is important that there is a 'fit' between therapist and client.
Sessions are for 50-mins weekly, either in person or online via Zoom. Your commitment to regular weekly session attendance is important to the therapy process. We will regular review our work together normally every six to eight weeks.
Based on your preferences, we may work in a focused way on specific goal/s, or in a more open exploration of a theme or issue. We may work in the present (what you are experiencing in the the here and now), explore the past (what has happened to you and what sense do you make of it), and consider your future hopes and dreams.
Endings are important. Ideally, we will discuss, plan and work towards your therapy ending together. If you decide to end therapy before a planned ending it is beneficial to have a final ending session.
We will regularly review our work together and reflect on your goals and direction for therapy.
I work in person in Islington, North London, walking in parks and green spaces, from therapy rooms, and online via Zoom.
To work online you will need a stable internet connection and a private space where you can talk comfortably and uninterrupted by other people or pets. Using headphones can improve the sound quality and provides more privacy.
I am unable to extend sessions if you arrive late.
If you are unable to attend a session, please let me know as soon as possible. I am happy to negotiate an alternative day and time where possible.
If less than 7 days’ notice of cancellation is given the full fee is payable.
I reserve the right to end the therapy agreement if 3 or more consecutive sessions are missed without notice or communication.
If
I am unable to attend a session I will contact you via email, with as much
notice as possible, and where possible will offer you an alternative day and time.
I will not see you if you are under the influence of alcohol
and/or drugs.
